The Bali Spa in Kelseyville

At the beginning of every spring, I start to notice the wear and tear that the harsh winter winds have done to my face. With everything else around me starting to look fresh and blooming, I look like I’ve been warring (and losing) against the elements.
Enter the Bali Spa at the Specialty Care & Surgery Center in Kelseyville, CA. After a horrible tire blowout on the 5 freeway, a tragic night in Los Banos, CA with my high sprung Italian Greyhound, and an alumni homecoming only a week ahead of me, I trudged into the Bali spa hoping for a peaceful resolution to my mental and physical woes. What I found was a treasured oasis to soothe my nerves and relax my frazzled mind.
Dorey, my esthetician, carefully listened to my concerns about my face and my hope for a miracle. After letting me vent about my horrible week (it was just Monday), she took me to a small, but pleasantly decorated room. She tailored my facial to address my desire for a gentle exfoliation treatment to renew my battered face. Once I was in a perfectly relaxed state, she spared me the necessity of talking (always a huge plus for me) and labored silently for the next 60 minutes. There was no rushing and no grainy scrub, just perfect relaxation. When my treatment was over, she let me take my time getting dressed and greeted me at the door with a cup of water. She explained to me exactly what she had used on my face and suggested a cream to purchase without being pushy for a sale (Dr. Dhanda, the owner, creates her own specialty skin care items).
In and out the door, I only paid $100 ($80 for my facial + a $20 tip) and my skin looked dewy, bright, and fresh. They have a fairly large treatment menu, so if you find yourself in Lake County and in need of a spa retreat, don’t forget to look this place up.

***My facial was almost three weeks ago, but my experience was so amazing that I had to write about it.
